Meet The team

Dr. Woody Soonattrakul

Dr. Woody was born and raised in the rural town of Kennett which is situated in the heart of Missouri’s “bootheel.”  His objective is to offer outstanding comprehensive dental care in an efficient, affordable manner while bringing a touch of southern hometown hospitality straight out of his rural Missouri upbringing.

Dr. Woody has spent countless hours taking continuing education courses and focuses on modern dentistry in a relaxed and familiar environment. Patients of all ages appreciate his caring personality and excellent chairside manner. He always strives to provide every patient with the highest standard of care. 

Dr. Woody completed his Bachelors of Science from the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 2001. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UMKC School of Dentistry in 2006. After graduating from dental school he attended Southern Illinois University for further training in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program for two years. It was there that he gained invaluable knowledge in treatment of more advanced cases ranging from oral surgery to implant and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Woody enjoys running and has participated in several half-marathons. He also prides himself in a very green lawn and also loves doing yardwork. He and his wife Missy live in O’Fallon, IL, have two sons, Cole and Drew and also have one pug, Gracie. 

Dr. Joseph Gross

Dr. Joe is a Belleville native and graduate of Belleville West High School. He then attended Southeast Missouri State University where he received his Bachelors of Science and graduated with honors. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Southern Illinois University in 2012 where he graduated cum laude. Dr. Joe enjoys an active lifestyle, loves working out at the gym, and believes in being physically fit as well as enjoying a number of sports. He enjoys seeking out local food joints and will tell you he works out just so he can over eat!

Dr. Joe dedicates himself to quality, first class dental work by staying up to date on the latest dental techniques, technology and product information. He enjoys taking continuing education courses as well as staying active in local dental groups. His patients will tell you that Dr. Joe brings a familiar and casual style to the chairside that makes each visit amazing. He was voted the Belleville News Democrat’s Reader’s Choice “Best Dentist” in 2016. Through dental school his goal was to return to his hometown and has been practicing in the metro east since 2012. He and his son, Chase, girlfriend Dr. Kim Baptist and 3 rescue dogs live in O’Fallon, IL.

Kelly (Registered Dental Hygienist)

Kelly is committed to an exceptional patient experience and building long lasting relationships. She graduated from Southern Illinois Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2009. With hundreds of hours of continuing education you can bet her chairside skill is unparalleled and she continually exceeds her requirements for continuing education. Outside of practice, she is a self professed “foodie” that will travel any length to try out new local restaurants and craft breweries. Being part of a military family, Kelly has lived several places including Hawaii and Nebraska but O’Fallon, IL has been her home from the past 20 years. She loves animals and has one one pet rabbit, Max, and rescue dog she adopted, Jade.  

Pam (Registered Dental Hygienist)

Pam is originally from Belleville, Illinois and graduated with her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene from SIU Carbondale. Pam is sincere, caring and capable. She puts all her effort into making sure every patient has an exemplary experience and will do most anything to ensure the patient is comfortable. Pam’s interest include reading and traveling. She can usually be spotted enjoying leisure time with close friends and family getting out to see the St. Louis Cardinals, eating out or traveling. More recently since her boys are great golfers she has really gotten into watching golf majors. Pam, like the rest of team, has been through a number of courses and has completed countless hours of training in her field to keep her skills up to date. Outside of practice Pam and her husband Dan have three boys Travis, Austin and Carson. 

Madelyn (Front Desk Associate)

Madelyn comes to our team from Scott Air Force Base Dental Clinic with over 1500 hours of volunteering in the dental setting. Madelyn, like Dr. Woody, originates from southern Missouri and brings a welcomed southern and casual flare to the office. She is caring and dedicated to providing excellent patient service. She is cross trained in every aspect of running the office and you may run into her chairside or even at your service at the front desk on the phone. Although her hobbies include working out, reading, and riding bikes- her utmost passion is shoe shopping and knitting. Madelyn and her husband David have one son Warren and one dog, Dundey.

Chelsey (Patient Coordinator)

Chelsey is the welcoming voice you will most likely hear when you call our office! Chelsey’s impressionable and heartfelt personality brings fun and familiarity to our office. She ensures that every patient has a wonderful experience and creates a welcoming environment the moment you walk in.  When not in the office Chelsey enjoys binge watching Netflix, fashion, shopping and being outdoors. Chelsey and her fiance have one dog, Theo and are in the midst of planning their wedding! 

Megan (Dental Assistant)

Megan is the breath of fresh air that should be a part of every dental office. Megan comes to us as a former patient whom we loved so much we asked her to come work with us! A former anxious patient herself, she is the most capable when it comes to being chairside with nervous patients. She is sincere, passionate and calming. Megan is a certified expanded functions dental assistant and has had several courses to expand her dental knowledge. Outside of practice Megan enjoys cooking and also specializes in men’s hair cuts at a salon back home. Megan was raised in Vandalia, Illinois and now lives in Bethalto, Illinois.  Her and her husband Mete have two cats, Olive and Fig. 

Dawn (Dental Assistant)

Dawn originates from Columbia, IL. She and her husband, Brian, an architect, are both car enthusiasts and lovers of good design whether automotive or not. They have had several cool performance cars.  Dawn will tell you she loves a good margarita and eating out however, her true love is organization and cleaning which is unparalleled by anyone in our office. In her spare time Dawn devotes much of her time to skin care and offering Rodan + Fields.  She too brings such an amazing quality and atmosphere chairside that should be a part of every dental office and dental visit. She and Brian have two sons, Drew and Max, who are both pharmacists, and two dogs Shelby and Charlotte.  

Summer (Dental Assistant)

When our team met Summer we knew instantly she was a natural fit for our office. Summer’s interest include reading and anything Harry Potter. Summer also enjoys fashion, shopping and loves a good deal! Summer is a certified expanded functions dental assistant and a graduate of Advanced Dental Careers School for Dental Assisting. Although she is an accomplished and capable assistant with any patient, as a former teacher at the Goddard School she excels with pediatric patients. Summer has one dog, Albus and a cat, Twinkle Toes.

Amanda (Front Desk)

Amanda is most likely the familiar voice you will hear answer the phone when you call the office. Amanda has had over ten years experience in dentistry and could be considered a dental insurance and coding encyclopedia. Outside of dentistry Amanda has a few true loves. Her first would be a 1953 Mercury with an amazing patina in which she works on and maintains herself. Her second would be her absolute love for dogs. She has been heavily involved in the rescue, fostering and adoption of animals for over five years now. She devotes almost all of her free time to working with local rescues. She can always be spotted in our office for her fabulous signature vintage aesthetic. Her hobbies include vintage fashion and love for mid century design. She also loves a good car show and is an automotive enthusiast. Amanda has three “furever” dogs Neci, Emma and Worms and one sanctuary foster, Penelope.
